Speak
to the new user, explain to them Teamspeak and that it is free to use.
Make sure they have a microphone and if not they need to purchase a
microphone within 2 weeks of joining Service of the King.
Find out there activity by asking them "How many days are you online
for out of 7 days" if they answer 4+ or above then thats perfect.
Make sure they understand that to become a member of Service of the
King, they are always required to be on Teamspeak whenever online in
Age of Empires 3. Activity and Communication is most important.
Talk them through the process of downloading Teamspeak and Connecting
to our private server. Afew useful bits of information are the website
address www.goteamspeak.com and the server IP being 78.129.193.3:8959.
Helping the new member makes them feel more comfortable coming onto
Teamspeak as you have had to speak to them and guide them through a
difficult process at times.
*Important*
Make sure you let the new member know they have to download the Teamspeak
RC2 Client. This is important as the Teamspeak RC2 Server is totally
different.
Once
on Teamspeak introduce them, make sure you know there real name and
where they are from. Perhaps arrange a game with you, the new player
and afew of the other clan members. The most important factor of gaining
a loyal and active new member is introducing them into Service of the
King correctly. Involve them in conversation by asking there opinion
on a particular topic perhaps. They'll begin to chat after alittle while.
DO
NOT enroll somebody into Service of the King and miss any of the above
out as there has been names crop up on the clan list and no trace of
them such as a Welcome Message or even them appearing on Teamspeak.
